On January 11, 2012, Joseph S. Berman, Esq. chaired the MCLE's BestPractices Briefing on Attorney Liens. 

The program gave practical insight into the rules and cases governing attorney's liens, along with relevant ethical issues to consider.  The panel, which included an Assistant Bar Counsel, provided practical tips about the most effective ways to enforce such liens, along with the issues concerning retaining liens on client files.  Understanding the rules and potential pitfalls when considering asserting or enforcing an attorney's lien is essential.
