Each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Day, we hold a Bake Sale to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in honor of our colleague, Colleen Combes.  Colleen died of breast cancer.

We bake breads, cakes, candies, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, granola, pastries and bid on each other’s baked and store-bought goods.  Also, we raffle various items – wine, gift cards, candy – so that those who went away for the Thanksgiving holiday were able to contribute by purchasing raffle tickets before they left. 

On the eighth year of our Bake Sale, we raised approximately $2,000, donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Colleen’s memory.
