Heather Zelevinsky has represented debtors-in-possession, trustees, official and ad hoc committees, secured and unsecured bondholders, mortgage holders, stalking horse bidders, asset purchasers, licensors, licensees, trade creditors, landlords, and tenants, all primarily in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 liquidations and reorganizations.
Heather is a native of San Jose, California and has lived in Boston since 1996. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.L.S. in English from Boston University in 1999, and received her M.A. in linguistics from the University of New Hampshire in 2002.
While attending Northeastern University School of Law, Heather worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the Vermont Attorney General, and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Joel B. Rosenthal, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts. Upon receiving her J.D. in 2005, Heather joined a small Boston-based firm practicing in the areas of bankruptcy and civil litigation. From 2007 to 2010, she practiced at Ropes & Gray LLP in its bankruptcy and business restructuring group. In 2010, Heather joined Looney & Grossman as part of the Bankruptcy Practice Group.
Heather is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Boston Bar Association. Heather is also a volunteer for the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program. |
