Adam J. Ruttenberg, Esq. Faculty, MCLE's "Overview of the New Homestead Reform Legislation"
February 14, 2011

Adam J. Ruttenberg, Esq. is one of three expert faculty members at the MCLE's upcoming "Overview of the New Homestead Reform Legislation: Important changes real estate and bankruptcy lawyers need to know".  The objective of the panel is to familiarize real estate and bankruptcy practitioners

with the provisions of the new homestead law, which goes into effect March 16, 2011, so that they may advise clients on filing requirements, as well as on strategic considerations when confronting insolvency situations.

Topics include: Procedures for filing a Homestead Declaration under the new law, pre-bankruptcy planning considerations, and the relationship between the "automatic" Homestead and protections available under a declaration of Homestead.

This event will be held on Monday, February 14 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the MCLE Conference Center.
